Lipglosses vs Chapsticks

I m sure most of us have problems with dry lips once in a while.
Cosmetics market works great these days - they make us psychologically think that applying lipglosses 20times a day help lips stay moisturized - FAIL!!
In fact if u noticed, an hour after applying lipgloss we feel lips got dry, so we reapply it again. And again. And again. And again.

So, here is the tip: in order to keep ur pout nice and moisturized, treat it with a usual and regular chapstick ( any would do - I personally love Burts Bees one), and only THEN apply your favorite lipgloss - your lips will tell you big THANK YOU! ))

HOW TO FIND CORRECT RED LIPSTICK SHADE

Not brave enough to wear red lips ? probably because you havent chosen the right color yet :)
Easy way to pick the suitable red lipstick shade:
If your skin has cool undertones ( fair skin), pick Reds with blue notes ( cold red).
If your skin has warm undertones ( olive skin), choose yellow-based warm Reds.
*Cant visually recognize which one is what? Smudge a tiny dot of lipstick on your wrist - if it becomes pink, the color is cool. If it's more on the orangy side, the shade is warm. ;-)

KERASTASE INITIALISTE SERUM 7-day CHALLENGE

Beautiful look doesnt only show in your makeup and clothing. If you have gorgeous face, stylish clothing, but a disaster on your head , you can ruin the whole image. Today I would like to introduce you a whole new skin care routine, but for hair! Yes, Hair!  Just like we apply lotion and serums on our face and body, don't you think it is logical to be able to treat our scalp as well?

As many of you know, I have Russian roots, therefore, having Eastern European hair that is silky but fine, is somehow of a struggle for me each time when it comes to creating a bit of volume.

Being not only a professional makeup artist but also a beauty blogger, I collaborated with Kerastase Canada one week before the official release of Kerastase Initialiste Concentrate to test out the product for a certain period of time and see if my hair gets thicker and stronger.

So my 7-day hair challenge week has passed and I shall share my experience with you.

I was kindly invited to M COIFFURE hair salon  which is located at 5142 boul. St-Laurent Montréal.  Before the treatment I was offered a cup of green tea, which I found was very nice from them. The assistant gently washed my hair , did a very relaxing scalp massage - I almost fell asleep - that's how good it felt.
After that a very skilled hairdresser Martin started doing the Kerastase Initialiste treatment. We had very fun time.

According to KERASTASE company, With Initialiste:
- Hair feels thicker:
Hair thickness feels boosted and is lusciously soft.
- Hair looks shinier:
Hair has a lustrous-looking shine.
- Hair is more resistant:
Hair is more resistant - up to 93% less breakage*.

*Breakage to brushing. Instrumental test: classic shampoo and Initialiste vs. classic shampoo alone.

Technology:
The unique knowledge of L’Oréal Advanced Research combined with the mastery of plant-based biotechnology has inspired Kerastase's revolutionary formulation INITIALISTE, enriched with Vegetal Plant cells.

After a rigorous selection process that examined different kinds of plants, researchers focused their efforts on the native plant cells of the Malus Domestica, a variety of apple.; the extracts of which were infused in INITIALISTE’s Complexe Régénérateur®

Directions for use:
Kérastase INITIALISTE Advanced Scalp and Hair Concentrate can be applied directly to the scalp after washing and towel drying the hair. Leave-in treatment: 2 pipettes for fine hair and 4 for normal to thick hair. After applying, delicately massage the serum with the tips of your fingers to evenly distribute the serum over the whole scalp.
Every day I applied Kerastase Initialiste serum on the scalp of toweled-dried hair, massaged it for 2-3 minutes, and then let it completely dry. I also tried not to use flat iron that often, and substituted with a blowdryer to achieve a smooth finish.

On the first day after using the product I wasn't sure about the effect since I had the whole treatment procedure in-salon. As you know, hair always looks awesome after you come out of there.
On the Second day I didnt see a big change either after using Initialiste, but I liked the way my hair looked.

KERASTASE INITIALISTE SERUM is supposed to significantly strengthen and thicken your baby hair within  a very short period time. As you can see on the picture, on the first day, my baby hair looked so annoying!

Third day was Saturday, and I was gonna go for supper. I washed my hair as usual, applied conditioner followed by the Kerastase Initialiste routine. This time I flat-ironed my hair and after I was ready, I posted a picture of myself on the Instagram and suddenly a lot of followers started commenting on my hair, how great it looked - they didnt understand what i did, whether it was a haircut, or coloring or anything else - but one thing was for sure - my hair looked beautiful.

So I had 4 more days of the Kerastase challenge, so I continued using it .
On Tuesday during blowdrying routine I suddenly noticed that my hair was noticably thicker than usual - I even measured it making a ponytail. And yes, it was true, thicker hair, therefore, more volume made my hairstyle look so much sexier, like I just came out of the salon. I absolutely loved it. And what's even funnier, it is that 5 munutes later I received a text message from a friend asking me if I did any haircut or coloring, because my hair looked great! I just smiled, because I truly knew the answer, why my hair looked gorgeous!

And now all 7 days has passed, I went to M Coiffure salon for the final Kerastase Initialiste treatment, followed by L'OREAL SteamPod procedure, and here I am - happy girl with noticably thicker, shinier hair thanks to this wonderful serum. Spring is just around the corner, and we all want to look great. I tested the product, you 've all seen the change happening to the hair, and now we can surely say that it does work.
Of course, i will continue using it on the regular basis 2-3 times a week after washing my hair, and I hope to see even better results with time.

My baby hair definitely grew up . I was so shocked -  usually 7 days barely give any effect. But Kerastase Initialiste did wonders to my hair.

It is true, just like beauty starts with beautiful skin, we now can also apply it to the hair - beautiful hair starts with beautiful skin too!
